Follow the below quick steps below to replace your lost NOL card with the new one and retrieve the existing NOL balance (facility available only for Silver and Gold NOL Cards):

What to Do if the NOL Card is Lost

Report Your Loss

This is the first and most crucial step that you must take immediately, the moment you realise that your NOL card is misplaced. Contact RTA’s Customer Care Department or call 800 90 90 to report lost NOL Card. Submit the request and note down the reference number for follow-up. By informing the officials about losing your card, you can avoid its unauthorised usage and recover the existing balance.

Check the Status of Your Lost NOL Card

After reporting your problem to the RTA, check the status of your card; its available balance, and transaction history online or by visiting your nearest office. 

For online status checking of your card, visit the official RTA website at https://www.rta.ae/ or the mobile app (available at the Play Store or App Store). Enter your NOL card details and press Enter. The available NOL balance, transaction history will be visible on the screen in no time.

You can also get information about your card balance through the nearby RTA’s Customer Care Center or an authorised sales agent.

Block Lost NOL Card Immediately

Remember, this option is only available for registered cards, as they have an extra layer of security that allows you to block your card immediately if RTA NOL card lost or stolen. Here’s how you can block a lost NOL Card:

Go to the ‘NOL Card’ section and find the ‘Report the Lost or Stolen Card’ option.

Apply for the Card Replacement

The registered cardholders can request a new NOL card after blocking the previous one. Follow the steps below to get a new RTA card in Dubai:

Transfer the Lost NOL Card Balance

Once you receive a new card, you will be able to transfer your existing balance (if any) to the replaced card. However, it’s important to mention that just like card blockage and replacement services, this facility is also only available for registered cardholders.

What to Do if Your Lost NOL Card Wasn’t Registered?

For unregistered cards, retrieving it back and transferring their balance isn’t possible. However, there are some essential measures you must take to avoid any future inconvenience. These are:

Inform RTA about your loss to keep it on record. This may not block or replace your card, but it can help avoid issues if the card is used in an illegal activity. You can contact the RTA Helpline at 800 9090 to report the lost card.

Is a Refund Possible for Lost or Stolen NOL Cards?

Refund is only possible for registered cards. First, you will have to block your previous card and put in a request for the replacement. After that, you can get a refund for your lost NOL card as well as transfer the existing balance to the new one.

If you find someone else’ card, please send it to the nearest RTA office by post or hand it over to the staff in person. The RTA’s ‘Lost and Found’ service conveys the lost card to the owner.
